Hi JayJay,

I'm sorry to hear this, I also suffer from late effects from childhood cancer so I understand. One of the best things I did was to get checked out by a late effects clinic, there are quite a few in the UK now.

The clinics can look at the treatment you had and they will know what late effects you're at risk of and they will be able to get a plan of how to combat them.

It can be really frightening knowing the treatment you had such a long time ago actually is attacking you now. It feels so unfair and a double whammy, it's bad enough having cancer as a child let alone late effects coming and causing problems years later.

Ask your gp to refer you to a late effects /long term follow-up clinic in your area. Late effects can be managed.

Much love ?
