A NEW Concept in support groups

Want to build skills, self-confidence, & self esteem after cancer? Try your hand at a multitude of activities and challenges? Come along to Pinners and start collecting the 60 Pinners award badges!

We’ll support you in achieving your goals, whether that’s improving skills from gardening to crochet, paddle boarding to cake-making. Be encouraged and inspired by the other Clubbers around you.

With no time limits and no pressure, you really are your own goal setter. Fill up your Handbook or pin them on your tote bag.... it feels brilliant! Your family and friends are welcome along too, meaning you can spend some quality time together focusing on fun with a positive purpose.

You won't be completing the activities at the club, so no need to wear your wellies or pinny, you'll be talking about what you are doing, where you are at with your Pins and leaving the club raring to go and motivated for a fab week.

Mid-week support will be there too with a dedicated Facebook group for all Clubbers along with motivating messages and cards along the way. Mission Pinners is run by Susie our inspiring and motivating Support & Social Lead and cancer survivor.

MANAGING ANXIETY

Anxiety is commonly experienced by many people following treatment for cancer, be it common triggers such as a routine scan or more individual worries about ongoing symptoms or the future. It is known at times to be overwhelming but can be difficult to explain with stigma often preventing those suffering from reaching out.

Join us, for an anxiety management workshop, run by Glenda, an accredited psychotherapist who has recently had treatment for breast cancer. The workshop aims to de-stigmatise and create understanding about the types of anxiety experienced following cancer with information about the nature of post-treatment anxiety and practical advice on managing the symptoms.

WHEN - Thursday 25th January 2024, 12-1pm.

WHERE - Online, fill in the expression of interest form at the bottom of the page and we will send you an invite.  Alternatively email hannah@mission-remission.org.uk
