hi everyone, my daughter found this website for me so here I am! Quick history-diagnosed stage4 T cell lymphoma Feb 2017, then secondary CNS. Loads of chemo plus spinal chemo, finally autologous stem cell transplant October 2017. Been a hard road but feeling good mostly. My main problem is early menopause and insomnia. Any tips for coping most welcome! Looking forward to hearing from you. Liss67

Hi Liss!

Welcome to the forum.

Insomnia is my issue at the moment too... my friends think regular exercise will help, so I'm going to give that a go (should be doing it anyway!) though it feels impossible when I'm so tired already. Is it your mind keeping you awake? xx

Hi Crazy Cat. Yes, I find it really hard to switch off at night, no matter how tired my body is. The mind goes over all the stuff that has happened, trying to make sense of it all. As far as exercise goes, it makes no difference. I do yoga almost every day, swim for an hour a week and walk an average of 5km a day and still can't sleep! I have tried every sleep remedy-sleep cream, lavender spray, Valerian, hops, meditation. I took some Sominex last night and actually got to sleep more quickly. I've now learnt not to worry about it as much. Hopefully as time goes by I'll begin to sleep more. Try not to worry and rest when you can. Take care x

Hi, I don't have a problem with going to sleep but I can't stay asleep! The things that mostly work for me are concentrating on my breathing and also listening to audio books or other talking on a very low volume. That usually gets me to sleep OK, but then I miss chapters of the book and can't work out where I am in the story!!
